February 21, 2023
Dear Terrier Students and School Family,
Welcome to another Amazing week at Ramona! This week we are focusing on the P for for Positive in SPARK. Being Positive means you are always making good statements at school. Everyday when you walk around campus it is important to stay positive. One positive act you can accomplish is to smile. Smiling to others helps everyone feel good. We are fortunate you are here at Ramona with us to learn. We care about all of you and will do everything possible to help you. As a reminder there is no school on Friday February 17 and Monday February 20.
Commitment to Excellence on Purpose #4: Are Personally and collectively responsible for our actions and outcomes.
Learning for your mistakes is how we learn with more insight. Whenever your teacher asks you a question or you make a mistake on a test. Make sure to ask yourself how to correct the mistake and learn from the mistake. This will help you internalize the correction.
"The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you." — B.B. King.
I am always available to support you if you need anything. Feel free to call the school or email me anytime at jochoa@mvusd.net.
Sincerely,
Mr. Joseph Ochoa
Principal of Ramona Elementary
Please use the link to report any bullying to our team.
At our school, we follow SPARK! Meaning we, are all Safe, Positive, Active learner, Respectful, Kind. As Terriers it is important that students be an upstander and not a bystander when a student is not following the rules. Please report all forms of bullying to an adult. We have a strong anti-bullying process. Please use the link to report any bullying to our team. We will investigate and provide a resolution.

Our goal is to have 100% of our school families join the team and learn Hands Only CPR through Finn’s Mission. Don’t wait, get started TODAY! Students who join the team early will get recognized at our kick-off!
- REGISTER at http://www2.heart.org/goto/Ramona

Thank you for supporting our school and this lifesaving program!
Student Attendance is Important
Please come to school daily. Students will miss valuable instruction every day they are not present. If your child is sick. Make sure that you call the school to let us know, so it can be documented accurately. Any student can attend Saturday school and make up 1 day of absence for each day they attend. (please click the link for Saturday school below) Saturday Innovation school occurs at our school every month.(This month it will be January 21)
