Scholarship Opportunities for Class of 2023 and 2024

Scholarship opportunities will be added as I am alerted of them! Please continue to check back regularly for updated opportunities. A large majority of the scholarships are for seniors, but there are a few for juniors as well!
101 Scholar

Students will either create a video between 1-2 minutes, or write a 500 maximum word personal statement based on one of two prompts given.

Allison Thomas Swanberg Memorial Scholarship

$1,500 scholarship for a Colorado senior attending a Colorado university with a 3.0 GPA or higher and community service experience. One 400-600 word essay. Deadline is February 15, 2023.

Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship

100 students will win $40,000 for college and a guaranteed internship at Amazon. This is for future engineers planning to earn a bachelor’s degree in a computer science related field of study from a 4-year college. Deadline is January 20, 2023

Because College is Expensive Scholarship

The $500 “Because College is Expensive” Scholarship is open to high school sophomores and above. Apply by completing the form on the website - winner chosen at random 4 times a year. Deadlines are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31.

BHW Scholarship

Available to women pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM. Application opens in January and deadline is April 15.

Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program

High school seniors who are facing financial challenges may apply to win a $10,000 scholarship to help them attend college or a vocational-technical school.

CC Bank's Young Scholars Scholarship

Five $2,000 scholarships given. Deadline is December 31, 2022.

Coca-Cola Scholarship

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program is open to high school seniors who plan to pursue a degree at an accredited post - secondary institution in the United States. $20,000 scholarship will be awarded to 150 students. Deadline is October 31, 2022.

College JumpStart Scholarship

The College JumpStart Scholarship is a merit-based competition that is open to 10th-12th graders. The requirement is that you are committed to going to school and can express your goals for getting a higher education.

The Coolidge Scholarship

The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. Only for juniors in high school. Deadline is February 23, 2023.

Create - A - Greeting - Card Scholarship

This contest is open to all high school, college and university students enrolled during the time period of the contest in an academic program designed to conclude with the awarding of a diploma or a degree. Deadline is March 2, 2023.

Daniels Fund

The Daniels Scholarship Program provides the opportunity for highly motivated students to earn a bachelor's degree. Daniels Scholars are honest, respectful, self-reliant, and compassionate. Deadline is November 15, 2022.

The Davidson Fellows Scholarship

The Davidson Fellows Scholarship is available to students who can demonstrate noteworthy achievements through the creation of a significant piece of work aimed at improving the lives of others. Deadline is February 15, 2023.

Debbie Jackson Memorial Scholarship

Open to seniors that are a Douglas County resident. Application requires an essay and two letters of recommendation. This is a one-time award of $4,000.

Dell Scholars Program

The Dell Scholars program requires that all applicants have completed in an approved college readiness program in grades 11 and 12. Deadline is December 1, 2022.

Digital Responsibility Scholarships

4 separate scholarships. First deadline is January 30, 2023.

Dorian De Long Arts & Music Scholarship

The Dorian De Long Arts and Music Scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school student who intends to pursue advanced education in the study of arts.

Dorothy Greer Scholarship

Any Colorado high school senior who has worked on at least one of the following: yearbook, broadcast, video media, Web or newspaper/newsmagazine for at least two years. Deadline is February 15, 2023.

Engineer Girl Scholarship

The 2023 EngineerGirl Writing Contest asks students to write a piece that shows how female and/or non-white engineers have contributed to or can enhance engineering’s great achievements. $500 scholarship. Deadline is February 1, 2023.

Equitable Excellence Scholarship

To recognize students who show potential by demonstrating the qualities of leadership, determination and resilience as critical enablers of their future success. Deadline is December 16, 2022.

Financial Goals

Available to students who are 18 years of age or older. Submit a 500 - word essay on the following topic: "Tell us about a financial goal that you have. Explain why you want to achieve this goal and how you plan to do so." One winner each month.

Foundation For Colorado Community Colleges

The Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges is able to offer several scholarship opportunities for students attending or planning to attend any of the 13 Colorado Community College System colleges each academic year.

Generation Google Scholarship - Opens early 2023

The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field.

GE-Reagan Foundation

The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program rewards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with financial assistance to pursue higher education. Opens October 17. Deadline is January 5, 2023.

Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship

College scholarship money is available to offspring of those working in the financial services industry. Deadline is February 16, 2023.

Jackie Robinson Scholarship

Deadline is January 11, 2023.

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay

Describe and analyze an act of political courage by a US elected official who served during or after 1917. Deadline is January 13, 2023.

Intertech STEM Scholarship

Requirements are a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher, intent to study computer science, and attending an accredited US college by fall 2022. Essay and two letters of recommendation needed (one must be math/science teacher).

JMJ Phillip Group College Scholarships

Open to students who will major in STEM. Eligible for two and four year universities. Offered quarterly and deadlines are January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.

Latin American Educational Fund

Eligible for students Hispanic/Latino origin or actively involved in the Hispanic/Latino community.

League Foundation Scholarships

Opens January 2023. The program is open to self-identified Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer <Questioning>, +, graduating high school seniors.

Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship - Opens January 2023

Open to students that will study engineering or computer science at a 4 year university.

Look Twice, Save a Life

Available to students planning to attend an accredited college or university. You must create a form of social awareness that inspires other students to focus on Looking Twice for Motorcycle Safety. Deadline is December 1, 2022.

Love your Career Scholarship

You must submit an essay of between 1,000 and 3,000 words describing at least three steps that you plan to take in the next year to start a path towards having a career that you love in order to qualify for this award. Deadline is September 10, 2022.

Notorious RBG Women of Tomorrow

Rising high school students graduating in 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026, and recently graduated 2022 seniors (female-identified applicants are strongly encouraged to apply, however applicants of any gender are eligible!). Deadline is September 30, 2022.

OppU Achievers Scholarship

Winners for the OppU Achievers Scholarship are selected four times a year, with submission deadlines on September 30, December 31, March 31, and June 30.

Penguin Random House Creative Writing

Submit one original literary composition in English in one of the following genres of poetry, spoken word, fiction/drama or personal essay/memoir. Deadline is February 1, 2023 3:00 pm CT or when 1000 applications have been received.

P.L.A.Y. Scholars Helping Collars

Students will submit an essay detailing their volunteer efforts to help animals in need, describing how that involvement has changed their lives or shaped their perceptions on the importance of animal welfare. Deadline is February 27, 2023.

Project Yellow Light Video Contest

To be considered, you must create a 10 or 25 second video that discourages distracted driving, specifically texting while driving.

Rising Star

You must demonstrate a remarkable work ethic, impressive leadership qualities, and the ability to stay strong in the face of adversity. A two-page statement on your career goals and how you plan to use the scholarship funding required.

Rocky Mountain Relocation Council

One time $1,500 scholarship. Eligibility requirements are a current senior that relocated to a distance greater than 50 miles during grades 9-12. GPA minimum is 3.0. Deadline is February 15, 2023.

Ron Brown Scholar Program

The Ron Brown Scholarship honors the legacy of Ronald H. Brown through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for community-minded and intellectually gifted African Americans.

Roger W. Kahn Scholarship

AIAA is awarding up to four $10,000 scholarships to high school seniors intending to pursue an engineering or scientific degree at a college or university.

Rotary Club of University Hills

Applicants must plan to attend a Colorado University and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicant must have intent to major in science or math for their undergraduate degree. Application deadline is February 28, 2023.

Sachs Foundation Scholarship - Opens January 1

Applicants must fit the following, qualifying criteria: A Black high school student in their senior year and a full-time Colorado resident for a minimum of three years. Deadline is March 15, 2022.

Science Ambassador Scholarship

The Science Ambassador Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship for a woman in science, technology, engineering, or math. Deadline is December 13, 2022.

#ScienceSaves

Available to high school senior students. To be considered for this award, you must create a 20-30 second video answering the question “What has science done for me?” or “What has science done for somebody I know?". Deadline is May 8, 2023.

Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship

This $1,500 scholarship rewards one student who can tell the best story, describing the impact he or she made in the life of a rescue animal or animal welfare cause in general. Deadline is February 27, 2023.

Shell Oil Company Technical Scholarship

Plan to enroll full-time in one of the following majors (geology, geophysics, physics, chemical, civil, electrical, geological, geophysical, mechanical or petroleum engineering) at a specified institution.

SME Education Foundation

For graduating high school seniors pursuing manufacturing and engineering related courses at two- or four-year technical schools, community colleges and universities within the United States or Canada.

​The Society of Women Engineers

SWE-RMS awards at least three scholarships for students graduating from high school and entering college to study engineering or computer science.

Taco Bell Foundation: Live Mas Scholarship

This scholarship is for students(ages 16-26) who are passionate about creating a better future and making a positive impact on their community. This is a passion-based scholarship program. Deadline is January 11, 2023.

Tuskagee Airmen Scholarship Foundation

Applicants must be high school seniors, from accredited high schools, who will graduate or who have graduated in the 2021 - 2022 academic school year. Additionally, those who apply must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Deadline is February 28, 2023.

"Unboxing Your Life" Scholarship

To be considered for this award, you must create a five-minute unboxing video of your life that showcases your originality and unique personality. Deadline is November 30, 2022.

University Hills Rotary Scholarship

Scholarship for students that plan to attend a Colorado university, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, live in Rotary District 5450, provide evidence of need, and intend to major in a science or math undergraduate program.

USPAACC Scholarship

Applicants must be a high school senior that has East, South, Southeast Asian, or Pacific Island heritage and is a citizen or permanent resident of the US. A 3.3 GPA or above is required. Deadline is March 31, 2022.

Visa Black Scholars and Jobs Program

For students that identify as African American and intend to pursue an education in Technology or Business at a four year university. Receive up to $20,000 per year for up to four years.

Visionary Scholarship

Eligible for freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

Women of AT&T National Scholarship

Applicants for the Women of AT&T National Scholarship Program must be planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution or technical vocational/trade school. Applicants must have a minimum 3.00 GPA.

WTS Colorado Scholarship

Each year the WTS Colorado Chapter supports exceptional young women as they pursue careers in the transportation industry by awarding six local scholarships. Deadline is October 15, 2022.
