Hueneme Thunderbolts

May 2021

Dear Hueneme Elementary Families,

Welcome May! This Month we acknowledge all the hard work and dedication of our Hueneme staff!

This week on Friday, May 7th we thank our food service team with "School Lunch Hero Day!" Our team has provided lunches for many of our families throughout the pandemic. Currently, they are making snack and lunches for our hybrid students while continuing to provide lunches for our virtual families! Thank you Food Service for all your efforts!

The week of May 10-14 we thank our Hueneme Staff for all of their hard work! On Wednesday, May 12th our school board adopted the resolution celebrating the day of the teacher. This year's theme is Cultivating Minds and Healing Hearts. On May 12th, we also send a big thank you to our school nurse, Ms. Angela! And the week of May 17-21 is Classified Appreciation week! From the bottom of my heart, I would like to say thank you to all the teachers and staff!

Summer School: Please be on the look out for summer school information that is forthcoming. We are in the process of planning and preparing for students and will have more to share soon.

ASES Program 2021-22: Beginning next Monday, May 10th there will be applications for our after school ASES program. We will start enrolling grades 1st-5th. Please stop by the office to pick up an application or if you have any questions.
