Hello Colts!
Red Ribbon Week was a success. We discussed the use and abuse of drugs in our lives. All the students signed a pledge to live healthy and drug free.
This week we started our volleyball unit in grades 3-5. The first week we covered the forearm pass (bump) and the overhead pass (set). The following week we will introduce the serve and the spike. Grades K-2 are practicing striking skills using balloons with different body parts and passing back & forth with partners.
Wellness Tip: According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “The single best way to prevent the flu is to get a flu vaccine each season.” And no, no, no, the flu vaccine cannot cause you to have the flu.
Media and Technology at CCES
The Fall Book Fair will be held in the Media Center each day:
Friday, November 13th – Friday, November 20th
7:10am-3pm
On Monday, November 16th we will be open until 6:30pm for families to shop together.
All classes have been scheduled for a time to visit the Book Fair and shop for new books to read. Click here to see when your child’s class is scheduled. Parents are highly encouraged to come and shop with their child’s class. :)
The Scholastic Book Fair raises funds for the Media Center to purchase new books, materials, and technology for the students and teachers at CCES. Thank you in advance for your support. J
