Beginners Sewing Class

Saturday, June 13th - Connie Meaker will be conducting a beginners sewing class at the Annex. This class is for ages 10 and up and is from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. Contact Connie at 770-786-8926 or conniemeaker@gmail.com if you would like to sign up & get supply list. There is no cost for this class.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Thursday, June 18th - The Red Cross will hold a blood drive in the Fellowship Hall from 12:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. You may drop in or make an appointment at www.redcrossblood.org.

Haiti Mission Team

Please pray for the team going to Haiti from June 19th - June 26th. Team members are: Josh Cornett, Jared Seals, Rene Seals, Julie Harpe, Olivia Harpe, Leigh Ann Harris, Mike Harris, Grace Harris, Melody Mann and Sandra Waters.

BGR Bucket Collection

June 28, July 26 and August 30th will be collection Sundays for the BGR (Baptist Global Response) bucket projects. A list of items for the buckets and how to pack the buckets can be found on the slat walls throughout the FBC campus.

S.M.A.K. (Summer Music Activities for Kids) is 1 Month Away!!

July 6th - 10th - In the words of Uncle Sam...I need you! We need adult and youth workers to assist with the camp. Parents & grandparents, have you registered your children or grandchildren? The theme this year is "Acorns to Oaks - Planted, Rooted and Growing in Christ. For children completed grades 1st-5th. We will learn a musical to be performed on Sunday, July 12th. Cost is $50 per child which includes music, t-shirt, snacks, etc. Register online at www.firstbaptistcovington.com under "Registration".

Bible Study - A Man and His Marriage

Wednesday Mornings 6:00 a.m. - Continuing the study "33 The Series: Authentic Manhood led by Ken Wynne and the Men's Ministry. This group meets in the Fellowship Hall. This session will run from May 27th - July 1st. Although this is a series of studies, you do not have to have been a part of the others studies to join this session.

YOUTH HAPPENINGS

  • June 10th - Mandatory camp parent meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Annex
  • June 17th - Lake Day from 1:00 - 8:30 p.m. - No Cost
  • June 24th - Six Flags from 12:30 - 10:00 p.m. - Cost is $30
  • August 1-2 - LIFToff

New Ladies Group - Widow to Widow

All widows are invited to attend a luncheon on Tuesday, July 7th at noon in the Chandelier Room. We will have door prizes and enjoy lunch and fellowship. Please RSVP by Friday, June 26th to the church office, 770-786-9031.
