The Gateway Gazette

Spring 2016, vol. III, issue 3

Thank you Gateway Community for another great year!

It’s so hard to believe that another year is just about in the books. We have spent so much time learning this year as a faculty and staff. From Debbie Donovan Math strategies to Lucy Calkins writing initiatives, it’s definitely been a rewarding and busy year. I hope you have seen this effort pay off in terms of your children and their student achievement, especially in these key areas.

Many thanks again to our wonderful PTA led by our president, Mrs. Marion Garabedian for all of the support this year. We received over 60 new Chromebook computers that filled a second computer lab and were also placed in classrooms from you all this year. I cannot tell you how fortunate we feel to be able to offer our students this innovative strategy that truly puts instructional technology in their hands each day.

For those wonderful 5th grade families that we will not see walking our hallways next year, we love you all and will miss you! Most especially to our Gateway “seniors”, please remember that you are all unique, intelligent and ready for middle school! From 5th Grade Day to Decades Day presentations, (complete with the best costumes!), you always rise to the occasion. Please come back and visit every time that you can, and remember that you are all permanent members of our Gator family!

Have a wonderful summer!
