The Age of The Feminine

An exploration of feminine energy and female symbols

Solo Show of sculptures and prints by Marga Beuth at Brighton Arts Club.

The exhibition brings together work created over the last 8 years
by the Brighton-based artist and artistic anthropologist Marga Beuth.

Her pieces are beautifully crafted clay sculptures, reliefs and
hand-pulled collagraph prints - art work that is simple, timeless and refined.

A recurring theme of Marga's work is a simple almond shape - an
abstract version of the vagina or - more precisely- of the vulva.
And this exhibition is an opportunity to explore The Feminine as a
natural force and to consider your own relationship with the most
feminine part of the body.

The artworks are both evocative and sensual - with appeal to
both women and men. They are designed to create a new relationship between the viewer and the feminine essence encapsulated in the work, and to offer the viewer a free space in which to feel liberated from pre-existing attitudes and taboos.

Exhibition open Tuesday 1 October until Sunday 13 October 2013, 12 noon until 11.00 PM (closed on Mondays)

Private View: Friday 4 October: 8.00 – 11.00 PM - with life music!
