It's a P.K. 4.4 Celebration
"Make everyday a day to learn"
This week PreK4 have been talking about how to make and keep friendsFriendships provide children with more than just fun playmates. Friendships help children develop emotionally and morally. In interacting with friends, children learn many social skills, such as how to communicate, cooperate, and solve problems. They practice controlling their emotions and responding to the emotions of others.
During math we worked with counting using play dough and number cards. We started working on letter recognition and sound during our circle time using flash cards. Our first Mystery reader, Sarah Tatum, came in and students had a great time.
Our peace day celebration was a success as we talked about what peace means and what we need to make peace. We talked about the symbols of peace and students made peace doves during their time in the art center. Students enjoyed sweet treat form the bake sale while providing help for a good cause.
