Adult Swim Program

Belton Parks and Recreation LOVES promoting our many programs, activities, and events through flyer distribution at the elementary and middle school students. We have been working hard to build our Learn to Swim Program to ensure everyone who enrolls leaves with the ability to swim. We would like to extend the same promotion of our Adult Learn to Swim Program to the teacher, faculty, and staff who so kindly distribute our flyers!

We offer both Adult Group and Private Swimming lessons on the weekdays as well as on Saturdays. It’s never too late to learn how to swim! Our Adult Learn to Swim Program is targeted at adults ages thirteen and up who have little to no swim experience, who may be fearful of the water, or would like to improve their stroke. Our lessons are broken down into two different levels, Adult Learn to Swim 1 and Adult Learn to Swim 2. Adult Learn to Swim 1 is geared toward individuals with little to no prior swimming experience and those who may be uncomfortable in the water. Adult Learn to Swim 2 is primarily for those who have basic skills but would like to enhance and develop their swimming skills and abilities.

For those to want to get back in the water after a long hiatus away, begin lap swimming for the first time, or train for a specific event, our Swimming for Total Fitness class is for you! This class will help you improve stamina and muscle tone; swimming is a great cardiovascular workout and the best choice for an all over body workout, whilst virtually eliminating impact on joints. We have workouts ranging from 200 total yardage to 3000 total yardage, so we are guaranteed to have the workout for you!

For our teachers, faculty, and staff we have a special offer, if you bring this flyer to the High Blue Wellness Center when you register, we will give you $5 off each program!

In addition to our programs, we are also starting our summer hiring process and are looking for applicants for our Memorial Water Park Facility Supervisor positions. Those hired for this position will be the leadership at our Outdoor Pool, ensuring the lead lifeguard, lifeguard, admissions, and concessions staff are completing their tasks as assigned. The Facility Supervisor will also check chemicals to maintain accurate an accurate and balanced water chemistry.

For a full job description or questions on any of our programs please contact, Kirby Wiley, Aquatics Supervisor. 816-348-7400 ext. 7440 and/or
