Proclamation of 1763
A proclamation that forbade settling past the Appalachian mountains after the 7 years war.
Sugar Act 1764
Put taxes on sugar and taxes that the colonist didn't like at all.
Currency Act 1764
Includes several acts and the parliament issued it to regulate paper money because it was depreciated in britian
Stamp Act 1756
imposed taxes on legal documents and new papers.
Quartering Act 1765
made colonist required to house British soldiers.
Repeal of Stamp Act and passage of Declaratory Act 1766
there was major protests against the acts and the parliament repealed them.
Townshend Acts 1767
put taxes on tea,paper,lead, and paint that came into the colonies.
Tea Act 1773
taxed tea and lead to the Boston tea party.
Coercive or “Intolerable” Acts 1774
passes after the Boston tea party and where a way to punish the colonist for doing it

First wars of the American Revolutionary war.
Second Continental Congress 1775
delegates that started meeting after the revolution had begun.
Battle of Bunker Hill 1775
gave the colonies confidence that they could win the war even though they lost the battle
Declaration of Independence 1776
Declared independence from britian
Battle of Saratoga 1777
The colonist won and marked a major mile stone
Battle of Yorktown 1781
also known as the siege of Yorktown the colonist made the British surrender and won freedom from the British.
Treaty of Paris 1783
Declared freedom from the British and ended the war.
