Self-Portrait Printmaking

Yejina Kim 9Art

I chose a photo of myself and made a copy of it. I had to outline and trace the photo in order to move it onto the rubber board. Then I started carving. After done carving also with my background, I literally printed it out with black ink onto magazine papers and a white paper.

Final Reflection

Since this was my last art project, I tried to do my best and I am sacrificed with the result. I worked efficiently in class time and made my idea be real on the rubber. It was a hard time tracing it over and over, but after I did my best, I was able to carve it nicely with the background sketch supporting. It was nice to see myself being printed on different materials! I really enjoyed my last art project. It will be unforgettable.
