A Note from Mrs. Myerson

Happy 100th Day of School! Our firsties are 100 days smarter! Tuesday we will celebrate the 100th day with a boat load of fun activities including 100th Day Book, Roll to 100 class game competition (with Mrs. Hadley's class), and a 100th Day art project!

This week will be another review week. We will use this week to review skills and to catch up on any work and tests that were unfinished from last week!

Spelling Words: none
Sight Words: none (reviewing all learned sight words)

Phonics: words with inflectional endings (s, ing, ed)

Reading: Asking questions about nonfiction text, Recalling facts

Writing: Researching Facts about Animals, Writing facts and creating "All About____" Books

Math: Frames and Arrows, Identifying and applying rules

Social Studies: Presidents Day, Producers and Consumers, Importance of Saving Money

Practicing our Math Facts with a fun Speedy Math Facts Game!

Important Reminders

Box Tops: Each month the PTO will be sending home a Box Tops collection paper. Please tape or glue the box tops to the page and send in to school. *If no paper is available, just send in the box tops in a bag* The class who collects the most Box Tops each month gets an ice cream treat, and at the end of the year gets a Pizza Party!

Meet Mrs. Myerson!

I am a wife, and a "mommy" to my lab-pit, Chance. I love to read, dance, sing, be creative, organize, decorate, and spend time with my family and friends! I am an 8th year teacher in Vineland, and truly passionate about my job! Making learning fun for my students and sparking their curiosity is what I'm all about.
