Cholesterol is a fatty like substance thats made in the liver and found in cells. Cholesterol is needed in limited to aid digestion. When you digest too much, it may lead to serious heart problems. Making good food choices can fix the problem while still making sure to get the daily amount you need. Even though many consider it to be bad, there is also good cholesterol which is essential for good health.
Where is it found?
Cholesterol is mainly found in animal products like meat, poultry and full fat dairy products. Your body also makes cholesterol from the use of the liver,and circulates it into the bloodstream.
Lack of Cholesterol
Having a balance of cholesterol is very important. Having to much of one type of cholesterol and not enough of the other can lead to heart attack, heart disease and stroke. Having the right amount of the good and bad cholesterol keeps you heart healthy and physically healthy. When heart problems occur with cholesterol, the build up of the cholesterol forms plaque, which clots the arteries and makes it harder to circulate blood eventually causing major heart problems.
