Scripture for Meditation

“Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?”

Isaiah 40:12 (KJV)

Feeling disconnected?

We're more than 1/2 way through the fall semester... are you connecting with other families? Getting to know new people? I would encourage everyone to reach out to someone they don't know this week. It could be a parent in another Foundations class or one of our Challenge mom's or students. These big kids are amazing, God loving, caring young people and you will be blessed to know them and their families. Let's all make an effort to create a stronger community this week. I know several families aren't able to stay for lunch, which happens to be when a lot of that community takes places. If you can rearrange your schedule to stay for even a small portion of the break time, I think you'll find it well worth your time.

Prayer Partners

Have you connected with your prayer partner? Are you asking for or offering support? Please continue to make an effort to build community by investing in your prayer partner.

Mr. B's Coffeehouse in Souderton

David Crowder Live: Come Thou Fount & Amazing Grace (Minneapolis, MN- 3/23/13)

Parent Off Campus Policy

I want to remind everyone that a parent needs to be on campus with your children at all times. If a situation arises where you need to leave, another parent must be willing to act as guardian, I need to be informed and have a note in writing and signed by both parties. Please speak to me if you have any questions.

The Moore Family - update

Gideon underwent his first treatment of the clinical trial last week. We're hopeful that he received the medication and not the placebo. Please continue to pray for them as they travel down this road. The injections are painful for Gideon and require several days stay at CHOP. You can continue to contribute funds to Amy Lynn at any time. Thank you!

We have a need for more full-time help in the childcare. If you know of anyone who might be willing to help, please speak with Lisa Bodder.

Family Presentations

Family presentations this week are the Good and Padilla families. Next week we have the Farrington family.

Weekly Student Presentation

The weekly presentation topic is "show and tell favorite animal". Show a picture of your favorite animal and tell 5 interesting facts about it using visual aids.

Special Offer

The Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) has been defending the freedom of homeschool families since 1983. Ecclesiastes 4:12 (KJV) tells us, “And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” As you homeschool with our Classical Conversations you already have two very strong support structures: your community and your family. A membership with HSLDA is that threefold cord that is not easily broken. We have seen in the news lately how precious our freedom is, and how hard others are working at taking it away from us. Please consider joining HSLDA today.

As part of the Classical Conversations family, you can save on membership—save $20 when you join for one year or $50 when you join for two years! Be sure to use this special code to receive your discounted pricing: 299265.

I've set up an account at to start collecting photos for our yearbook and end of the year slide show. Go to this link and upload your photos from field trips, class or other events and activities. If anyone would like to take over the management of this, I would love to pass it along!
