Fault in Our Stars
Fault in Our Stars is an awesome book and it is my favorite! The author is John Green, he is from Indianapolis, Indiana and has many other great books like, "Looking For Alaska". The genre is fiction but it's a book that you could believe that is real, it's so relatable and that's why I think it's such a great book. I say the most influential character in this book is Augustus Waters, he is the main character's lover and he is very inspirational. One of his inspirational moments is when he takes a cigarette out and puts it in his mouth and doesn't light it, Hazel (the main character) says she thought he was different because she thought he was going to starts smoking, his response was, "It's a metaphor, you put the killing thing between your teeth but you don't give it the power to do its killing." The summary of this book is, A 16 year old girl thought life was over when she was diagnosed with cancer. A mysterious boy who is cancer free comes into her life and shows her how to live the last of her days. Sadly, there is a tragic ending to the beautiful story. I would DEFINITELY recommend this book to anyone, the vocabulary is not difficult for a 7th grader but maybe anyone under that grade.
