All Dried Up

Summary
Nine Western states have all been affected by the drought but California took the hardest hit. In response to the drought a mandatory cutback in water was imposed. To help get water flowing again people are looking at other water challenged places like Israel who began using desalination plates and reusing waste-water. Many counties are considering following Israels lead but hoping that they will get relief from a strong El NiƱo in the winter.

The drought is affecting nine Western states, but California has been hardest hit.
The drought currently encompasses over 98% of the state of California.
