Class of 2022! Juniors...it is time to get ready for your Senior Year!
It is time to request your courses for your senior year, Class of 2022!
Right now, we need you to put together a list of courses you want and need for your senior year.
To help you get started, have prepared instructional videos and have resources available for you.

When you meet with your counselor, one-on-one, in March on Teams, all your questions will be answered. We need you to have a list of courses ready to discuss because your counselor will be entering your requests into PowerSchool for you.

2. Download our CVHS Course Offering Book below.
3. Talk to your teachers, parents/guardians, and counselor about your plans and get their input.
4. Be ready to enter your course request list into PowerSchool after March 15th.
We hope to conclude the course request process by April 1st. So please focus on this in March!
Mental Health March!
Join the Coalition Teen Council starting March 1st to kick off the 30-day Mental Health Challenge. Join our remind: https://www.remind.com/join/cvhs30day to keep up to date on each day’s challenge: If you participate in the challenge and complete the survey on March 31st one winner will be selected for each grade to receive a gift card. Attached is the 30-day calendar to get you started.
Free Credit Recovery Classes.
Failed a class first semester? Stay on track to graduate. Below is a credit recovery option. Students should have received a letter in the mail from their counselor if they qualify for this option. Contact your counselor for further details.
Chippewa Valley Community Education Credit Recovery Program
Where & When: At home! All classes are completed online utilizing the Edgenuity computer program, with students having 24/7 access to their course(s)
Starting: Now! Self-paced on a computer.
Cost: FREE

Help your child become career ready!
This year’s “Virtual” Career Readiness Family Expo is an evening event connecting families with industry experts. Participants can engage in career awareness, exploration and preparation with industry and education professionals through various breakout sessions. Topics will include in demand careers, post-secondary options, soft skills and various career readiness strategies, tips and tools.

Class of 2021...FAFSA Deadline is March 1st but you can still qualify for Federal Programs.
MSGCU is offering $106,500 in scholarships.
Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union is offering various scholarship opportunities for those in the community who are starting college or trade school, or looking to enhance a career with continued education. The application period ends March 5 for the following $2,500 scholarships:
- High school seniors planning to attend a two- or four-year college or university.
- Current college students and high school seniors with a commitment to pursue the field of Education as a career.
- Certified educators and administrators who are pursuing continued education.
- Students pursuing a skilled trade certification at an accredited school in Macomb, Oakland or Wayne counties.

If you need a computer.....
Any student in need of a laptop, please call 586-723-2315. Everyone who has requested a district laptop has one at this point and we have some more available to check out. So if you are still without a reliable laptop, please call that number.
Technology Support
If you are experiencing issues with a district laptop or a login for a district program, please submit a help ticket using our Student Help Desk . Our technicians monitor these tickets daily and will respond with troubleshooting advice using the ticket system. We also have helpful technology information and how-tos for students and parents posted on our For Parents webpage.
