Hinduism believe in the divinity of the four Vedas, the world's most ancient scripture, and venerate the Agamas as equally revealed. Salvation is achieved through a spiritual oneness of the soul, atman, with the ultimate reality of the universe, Brahma. As a result of these basic teachings, comes Hindu beliefs in reincarnation, karma (material actions resulting from the consequences of previous actions), and the religious justification of the caste system.
Reincarnation
Reincarnation was the rebirth of one's soul.
Untouchables are the largest caste.
Gandhi wanted self-rule of India.
Changes
Gandhi changed India by providing them with natural materials and goods.
He provided independence and civil disobedience.
He created the Salt March.
Turning Points
Muslims had to leave India and move to Pakistan and Hindus had to leave Pakistan and move to India.
Thousands of people did during the move.
1947 India achieved independence from Britain.
