Help us celebrate our amazing staff at Smith the week of May 8th! Follow the daily themes and have your child participate.

May 8th: Memory Monday- Have your child draw or write about their favorite memory with their teacher or staff member this school year and bring in to share.

May 9th: Treat Tuesday-Have your child bring in a special “treat” (snack/drink/anything) for their teacher.

May 10th: Wisdom Wednesday- Have your child share some words of wisdom with their teacher/staff member that they learned this year.

May 11th: Thankful Thursday- Have your child share with their teacher why they are thankful to be in their classroom. Write a Tootle or Appreciation Card.

May 12th: Flower Friday- Have your child bring in a flower or make a flower for their teacher.

Please check the calendar below for our ABC Countdown to summer! Activities will be taking place in classrooms as we countdown the remaining days of our school year.

Starting May 1 email Jamie at jmerrill@helenaschools.orgwith 1. Parents’ name and contact information 2. Child’s name, grade in Fall 2023, and school 3. Which weeks you would like to register for.

Lottery application is open May 1-12. You will be notified of your spot starting on May 17. You will have one week to accept or decline your offer. Emails sent before May 1 will be deleted.

Please contact the office if you know you are moving and/or will no longer be attending Smith next school year. We make every effort to be as accurate as possible for class lists and numbers in grade levels. Giving the office a heads up, even if it is just a possibility, is very helpful.

We so appreciate all our PSS does to support our students and staff throughout the school year. Many hands make light work and there are multiple ways to get involved. Our PSS is looking for more volunteers to help with various projects. Please reach out to me or parents4smithschool@gmail.org if interested.
