Administrators' Notes
For this next round, counselors will be creating your testing rosters by alpha order. That means that you may or may not have your students testing with you. It is important to start letting students know what to expect so they are prepared and not surprised the day of testing. The only thing changing is their test proctor. The testing environment and expectations of them while testing remain the same. However, remind them that no matter who their proctor is, they are still expected to do their best and to follow all the rules and expectations explained to them. Please make sure that you are having this conversation with your classes.

Shout Outs!!
Shout out to Mr. Meza for being our Mighty Cub of the Week! Mr. Meza's interventions are filled with real life examples and questions that prompt student discourse. Don't forget to park up front!
Shout out to Mr. Salazar and our Cub families. They showed up to celebrate our Alief families and to show their AMS pride! (I also think a lot of people show up just to get a taste of the delicious fajitas Mr. Salazar prepares. Mr. Chambers makes sure to stop every year!) Thanks so much for the personalized shirt.
Shout out to Mr. Biggs and his theater crew for their success in the UIL One Act Play competition. They brought home the "hardware" First place! Outstanding Ensemble. Congratulations, you all deserve it! If you missed it... you missed out!
Do you have a "shout out" you would like to share with the staff? Send it to Mr. Lopez via e-mail or text! Subject line: Shout out!
Content Feature - Science
It is crunch time and the Science Department is digging deep to get ready for the end of the school year. We have experienced many fun activities all year and now it is time to put our learning to the test. Students are using technology, science resources and review strategies to get ready for their upcoming tests. Our sixth and seventh graders are getting ready for their DCA #2 while eight graders are preparing for the STAAR test. We are proud of the hard work our students are putting in to be prepared for their assessments and we wish them the best of luck. Go cubs.
