4th Grade News
Week of February 20th-25th
Throw me Somethin' Mista!
This is just a reminder. We will not have after school activities or aftercare on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday due to parades. Everyone will be dismissed at 3:30 and need to be picked up by 4:00.
We will go light on homework this week since many of our students have family members involved in parades. Enjoy the parades and the Mardi Gras holiday next week!
"Munchkin Mediation and Conflict Resolution in OZ" April 12th and 13th!
I'm sure none of you have had a hard time remembering the title of our fourth grade play this year ;)
It is quickly approaching and we are having a blast acting, singing, and dancing on stage. There's no doubt that we have future stars amongst us! Please go over lines with your child. The sooner we can rehearse without scripts, the more creative we can get on stage.
If you are having a hard time with your child's costume please let us know. We can help you.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Conferences are Thursday March 9th and Friday March 10th. Please schedule your time with Vanessa. We are looking forward to seeing you.
Social Studies
We have just finished Unit 4 on the colonization of America. We had our 13 colonies map tests in both classes and we are moving onto The American Revolution. We will start with The French and Indian War.
Writing Workshop
We just finished a narrative writing on being a king cake baby stuck inside of a king cake. The stories they created are absolutely hilarious and show so much creativity, while still sticking to a topic and format. We have posted them on our classroom walls, so be sure to check them out when you come for your conference.
