Wednesday Folders and Parent Connect

Every Wednesday your student should be bringing home a Wednesday Folder containing graded work, announcements, and additional information. Please be sure to look at the items in the Wednesday folders with your child. We also have Parent Connect to give parents information about grades. Many parents sign up for grade notifications to help them monitor how their child is doing at school. Please see directions below:

Tardies are Nonoptimal

Once in a while, mornings can be crazy and stressful at your home and unavoidable things can happen, but some households seem to having a problem on most days. Our school start time is 7:45, and at 7:45 students are expected to be in the classroom. Students that enter our building after 7:45 are considered tardy. I realize that fourth and fifth grade students can't drive themselves to school---please help them. We are having trouble with several students being tardy each day. On average, we are having over 20 students tardy daily with many of those being the same students several times per week. Please help start your child's day begin stress-free by reminding them to lay their clothes and backpack out the night before, set an alarm that allows everyone plenty of time to get ready in the morning, and leave early to allow time for students to be in the cafeteria for announcements by 7:37. If you arrive at 7:40 or after, please use the front door in order to minimize lost classroom time. Our teachers begin instruction at 7:45am.
