A Note from Mrs. Donnell
iTRAIN - 1 Timothy 4: 7-8
The high school staff and students from CCS spent 3 days and two nights at the Wabash Park Camp and Retreat Center in Clay City, Indiana. The CCS staff planned and led the entire retreat with the help of our 2020 graduating class and our amazing CCS student worship team. There are no words to express how overwhelming it was to witness the seniors leading the underclassmen in discussions and challenging them along the way. Our CCS student worship team did an amazing job helping us praise Jesus and filling our hearts with joy.
Laughter abound during our game times. Teenagers will do just about anything to have bragging rights as the winners. They wore diapers, ate baby food, drank from a bottle, tagged one another with ketchup and mustard and cheered for each other along the way!
The CCS staff fed God’s word into our students and one another through large group sessions, small group sessions and panel discussions. Our high school students are on the iTRAIN for godliness. Thank you to everyone who put so much effort into the planning, preparation and prayer for this 3 day retreat. A special “Thank You” goes out to Mr. Bill Schneider, Mr. Ridder’s father-in-law, for preparing all of the meals at retreat. If anyone went hungry, it was their own fault!
In Christ’s Love

Join Matt Chandler, Teaching Pastor of The Village Church in Dallas, TX, as he walks us through this most intimate of all Paul's letters and paints a beautiful picture of what it is to be a mature Christian.
The story begins in Philippi where Paul introduces three individuals that were all enslaved by the kind of things that we often choose over the gospel: Lydia, the Business Executive, The Little Slave Girl, and The Hard-Working Jailer.
Their lives portray dysfunction and emptiness but are totally transformed by the Gospel. True joy and Christ's love begin to live within them, giving them a life of purpose. In fact, Paul himself was enslaved and then by God's grace and mercy he could pen these popular and profound words: To Live is Christ and to Die is Gain. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
