Volunteers for Skate 101

Do you remember the first time you learned to skate? Well I sure do and I think I have some scars as mementos.

PE is doing a Skate 101 class with 3rd - 5th grade. They are requesting parent volunteers to help get all the safety gear on the kiddos as quickly as possible. This will give our students the maximum amount of skate time.

If you are able to come and donate your time please sign up for a time slot. Thanks - L :O)

Kroger Store Card Fundraiser

Did you know that our campus can earn money each time you use your Kroger card? So far this year we have raised $316.98 in total donations, and this was done with just 63 families! Just imagine how much we would raise if half of our families had their Kroger cards linked to the L.A. Nelson PTA.

Please double check and make sure your card is registered. I thought mine was and it wasn't!

Click on the following to register your card and spread the word to your spouses and grandparents: https://www.kroger.com/communityrewards

The L.A. Nelson school code is 90039.

Arrival and Dismissal News

Our new WalMart store is now open, across the street. Thank you for your support as we all adjusted to possible changes in traffic.

Last week, we reminded our students they should continue their normal way home during dismissal. Teasley is a busy street. No child should be asked to walk across Teasley with a parent, or asked to walk across Teasley alone to meet a parent at WalMart.

Your child's safety is one of our greatest priorities.
