Message from Mr. Nihill
I would like to thank our Mary Woodward community for making the first week of our new combination of CDL and Hybrid classes a success. We greatly appreciate your continued support and patience as we work through the process of the arrival and dismissal procedures for Hybrid classes.
If you have a child (or a friend or neighbor does) that will be in kindergarten next year, please make sure you complete the online registration. There is more information below in this newsletter.

Reminders for Hybrid Parents
Here are a few reminders for parents of students in hybrid instruction:
1. The hours for each hybrid session are-
AM Session:
Class starts at 8:00 AM, dismissal at 10:50 AM
PM Session:
Class starts at 12:15 PM, dismissal at 3:05 PM
3. If you pick up your student in a vehicle, please have a sign in your dashboard window on the passenger side that clearly says the last name and first initial of the student, and the grade level of the student. This will help facilitate and speed up the pickup process.
Attendance Information
MW Attendance Line

Attendance Email: woodwardattendance@ttsd.k12.or.us
If your student is absent from school, it is your responsibility to call the Attendance Line, 503.431.4720 or email woodwardattendance@ttsd.k12.or.us as early in the day as possible.
Because of the shortened school day, the automated attendance calls will start very early for each hybrid session. Automated calls go out for unexcused absences at 8:30 AM for the morning session and at 12:45 for the PM session. Our attendance secretary, Mrs. Debbie McRobert must hear from you early to excuse the absence before the robo calls start.
The automated attendance calls will go out Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Remember, Wednesdays will continue the same as before, with a morning meeting online, and asynchronous learning the rest of the day. Hybrid students do NOT come to the building on Wednesdays.
It's great if you email the teacher if your student is absent, but please email the office at woodwardattendance@ttsd.k12.or.us as well. You can simply copy us on the email that you send to the teacher so you don't have to write two emails.
This is a good habit to start building whether your child is doing 100% online or hybrid instruction. Student safety is a priority at Mary Woodward, and it it essential that we hear from you whenever your child is absent from school.
