Plano Youth Leadership Program Application Deadline April 30
Plano Youth Leadership is a program for sophomores who live in the PISD attendance zone. Applications are accepted during spring of students' 9th grade year (this year's deadline is April 30), and we strive for each class year of PYL to include students from as many area schools as possible.
Participants engage in group building exercises, explore their own leadership style, learn about struggles and challenges facing leaders, discover the power of leveraging diversity, look at volunteer opportunities in the area, interact with local government and elected officials, and start to develop their own "brand" as leaders.
Applications and more information can be found on their website: www.planoyouthleadership.org.

3rd Years
Parents,
For Going Viral this year, the 3rd year learners will have the opportunity to engage in a "dress rehearsal" of their presentations. In addition to the final presentation of the 2018 Plano Preparedness Summit on 5/21 and 5/22, dress rehearsals will also be open to parents on 5/16 and 5/17. Hopefully, the inclusion of these additional dates will provide flexibility for you to attend during the school day. We wanted to go ahead and give you heads up on these dates, but keep an eye out for more specific details on timing for your specific learner's presentation in the coming weeks.
