The Armstrong-Indiana Transition Council is committed to the successful transition from school to adult life in the areas of post-secondary training, employment and independent living for individuals with disabilities. We will coordinate our efforts to educate students, parents, educators, advocates, agencies and other professionals in order to facilitate the development of our students into productive members of the community.

Parents with Purpose (PWP)

Have you ever had questions about your child’s education but were afraid to ask? Are you worried about your child’s future and how you can support them? Do you want to know more about the opportunities and supports for your child within our community? “Parents with Purpose” is a workgroup for parents of school-age students with disabilities. Directed by The Arc of Indiana County, The Local Task Force, & ARIN IU 28, the workgroup’s purpose is to provide parents with support, education, and advocacy. RENEW (Resilience, Empowerment, and Natural Support for Education & Work) is a structured school-to-career transition planning and individualized wraparound process for youth with emotional and behavioral challenges. RENEW can be utilized for ALL students.
