Message from Mrs. Leonard

Hello! I am Mrs. Leonard and I am so glad that you are in my class this year! Several of our activities this week are designed to help me get to know you better. It is important that you work EVERY DAY on your assignments so that you will be counted present in school. All assignments for Monday 8/17 through Wednesday 8/19 are linked on this newsletter. After Thursday 8/19 our assignments will be posted, submitted and graded on our Google Classroom. Daily instruction will occur through face to face Zoom sessions and independent work sessions. After this week our weekly S'more newsletter will be used to share other important information.

Suggested Daily Schedule

It will be beneficial for your student to follow a daily routine. Here is a suggested schedule your student could follow. Live Zoom sessions will begin Thursday August 20 at 9:15-9:45, 10:45-11:15 and 12:15-12:45.

8:15-9:15- Reading / ELA Assignments

9:15-9:45- Zoom available Thursday and Friday

***Snack and Brain Break (YouTube Just Dance, Stretching, GoNoodle)

9:45-10:45 - Math Assignments

10:45-11:15- Zoom available Thursday and Friday

11:15-11:45- Health/ Science/Social Studies activities

11:45-12:15- Creative Time/ Special Area Time (Art Activity, PE Activity, Music Activity, etc.)

12:15-12:45- Zoom available Thursday and Friday

12:45-1:15 Lunch

***Don't forget to make time for recess (Play outside, Yoga, Take a walk, Jump on trampoline, etc.)

Tuesday August 18 Assignments


Write a letter to your teacher. You may write your letter on paper and turn it in to me at school or you can type it in an email and send it to me at leonardd@wcsmail.org.

All assignments are posted in Google Classroom. After completing an assignment make sure it is turned in so that you will receive credit. Please look for grades and comments on assignments several times a week.
