All About Me

EDUC 434 Spring 2016

Emilee Pilkington

I was born and raised in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, where I still reside. I graduated from high school in 2010 and am now completing my K-12 Mild/Moderate Disabilities degree through Chadron State College. In the fall of 2010, I moved to Chadron to play women's golf for the college and to major in K-12 Music Education. After three years of playing golf and working towards a music degree, I decided to change to special education. I had a professor for Intro to the Exceptional Learner who struck a chord with me, and I knew that I needed to become a special education teacher. I moved home (to Scottsbluff), where I am finishing school online. I am currently teaching 6-8 middle school special education, where I have students with diverse needs. I have also coached golf, helped my three younger siblings through school, babysat for many children, taught (and still teach) piano lessons after school, and have grown up with a teacher for a mother.

My family has a zoo... just kidding! We just have more pets than humans in our house :). We have three dogs, four cats, and six people. I also have never seen Star Wars, and have never made a hole-in-one on the golf course.
