The Weekly Hoot

July 7 - July 13, 2014

Greetings All -

From the looks of all the photos at the bottom, I think it is safe to say that everyone had a great 4th of July weekend! It is so neat to see everyone's family having a good time! I had a great long weekend. We even managed to hit a holiday furniture sale and get some new living room furniture so I am one happy camper!

As of yesterday (July 7) we are fully staffed again. Our new third grade writing teacher is Jennifer Lewis (Jenny). She substituted for us many times last year. She has taught in both Willis and Madisonville, and we are happy that she has joined our Owl family.

They have taken down the construction fence in front of the school so it looks like things are getting a move on in completion of our project. I believe August 1st is the projected completion date, so hopefully that is the case!

The construction company is going to move our playscape down to the new playground by August 1st. We have ordered some swings, a tetherball set, and another ball throwing apparatus for the playground as well thanks to Hooty Hustle, parent donations, and PTO. We are more than likely going to have a basketball court built out in right field as well!

Please remember that July 28-29 are the dates for the Engage 2 Learn model. Don't forget!

Mrs. Lavender is making King Ranch Chicken this Wednesday. If anyone is interested, text her and let her know.

Remember to text me pool pics, vacation pics, camp pics, workshop pics, etc... for the Hoot so we can keep up with each other this summer.

Everyone have a great week!

Soaring with you this year,
