Attitude of Gratitude
Mindset of the Month
7 Mindsets is the district adopted social emotional curriculum for students K-5. Each month we will focus on a different mindset. Each mindset will be introduced in our Panther Families at the beginning of the month. Mrs. Wilson's weekly character ed lessons in the classroom will feature the mindset of the month as well. Click below for more information about 7 Mindsets.
Attitude of Gratitude
This month at Sunflower, we are focusing on learning to live the mindset Attitude of Gratitude. The Attitude of Gratitude mindset teaches us the importance of seeking the positives from every experience and being thankful for all that we have. In these lessons, we guide students to focus on all the things they have, leaving no time to be distracted by what they don’t. The four pillars of Attitude of Gratitude are:
*Treasure Yourself *Be More Grateful *Thank it Forward *Elevate Your Perspective

Tips for parents to support the Attitude of Gratitude mindset at home:
- Help your child identify their strengths and model what it means to value yourself.
- Help identify what you have to be thankful for - even in those really difficult times.
- Find genuine ways to give thanks to each other.
- Involve your children in ways to pay it forward - random acts of kindness go a long way!
