Veterans' Day Program

Pleasant Street students honored Veterans' Day with an all school assembly on Nov. 9, 2015. We were joined by Junior Vice Commander, Alex Blake, of the American Legion Post #102 as well as by Mitchell Grosky, selectboard and school committee member who so graciously took pictures to share with families. To see a short video created with the use of Mr. Grosky's pictures please click on the animoto link below. To see more pictures please visit the Celebrate Schools Athol Royalston Facebook page. We ask that you credit Mitchell R. Grosky if you use or share any of his pictures. Thank you!

Lots of Fun Was to Be Had at our PTO Family Movie Night

With camp chairs, blankets, and pillows in hand, many students and their families came out for some free family fun to enjoy a showing of Despicable Me-2. Congratulations to Jeremiah who won the free PTO raffle and was able to bring the movie home. Special thanks to student council members-Dennis, Peyton, Jayla, Kaydence, Riley, and Matthew for their help running the snack shop and to Ms. Franck their staff advisor. As always thanks to our PTO parents and volunteers who make these events possible.

It was so nice to see so many families at Parent/teacher conferences last week!

There is a strong relationship between positive parent engagement and student educational achievement. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend parent/ teacher conferences. If you were unable to attend your student's conference please call the school at 249-2405 so our staff can make an alternate arrangement to share information about your child's school performance which could include a phone conference, if necessary.

Catch of the Day!

Our School Support Noon Duty staff continue to be recognizing students in their, "Catch of the Day," program. This honor is given to students who staff observe demonstrating our school expectations of respect for self, respect for others, and respect for property during recess. Each day they choose one student from recess as the Catch of the Day who then receives a certificate, a stuffed fish for a day, and is entered into a weekly drawing in the "fish bowl" to receive a prize. This past week Ethan was one of our catches!

Mad Science -Week #5 and Week #6

We would like to share some action photos from last weeks Mad Science program that focused on the use of circuit boards. We had a technology issue that prevented us from posting these last week.

Week #5:

This week at Mad Science students focused on inventions! They did backwards writing using a mirror. Looked for hidden pictures. Drew pictures of inventions for them to create. Made a harmonica out of tongue depressors.

Week #6:
