This Week at TPMS!
Good Evening Takoma Families!
This is Ms. Deeny, your principal. I hope you are enjoying Memorial Day Weekend!
Our Distance Learning Schedule - Memorial Day Week
This week our schedule will be slightly different since we only have a 4 day week. Due to our construction and the need for contractors to enter the building as soon as possible, our school has been assigned two days during which teachers will need to clear out their classrooms. These will be next Wednesday and Thursday (May 27 and 28). Teachers will still be providing learning experiences for students. However, due to the need for them to clear out their classrooms on these days they may not have live sessions as they normally would. Please be sure to pay close attention to updates from the teachers for classes to see if they will be hosting their lives session on these two days.
I have included the schedule below.
- Monday, May 25 - No School - Memorial Day
- Tuesday, May 26 teachers will share materials for Periods 1-8.
- Wednesday, May 27 will be ODD (1, 3, 5, 7)
- Thursday, May 28 will be EVEN (2, 4, 6, 8)
- Friday, May 29 will be a day for students to complete and turn in their work and email teachers any questions.

We are excited that Ms. Linsenberg and Mr. Wilson have organized a TPMS Virtual Talent Show! Along with the show our PTA is hosting an Online Auction to raise funds for the TPMS PTA!

Esta Semana en TPMS!
Buenas tardes familias Takoma!
Nuestro horario de aprendizaje a distancia - Memorial Day Week
He incluido el horario a continuación.

TPMS, Piney Branch and Takoma Elementary PTA Food Support for Families
The Difference Makers Takoma Park Middle School Pantry has been working with the Takoma Park Middle School PTA, and our feeder elementary schools, Takoma Park Elementary School PTA, East Silver Spring Elementary School PTA and Piney Branch Elementary School PTA as one site in collaboration for monetary donations and to find information about how to receive food assistance during the coronavirus school shut down.
As a safety precaution and until we get past this current health crisis, we will not be taking food donations at the various locations throughout Takoma Park. Nor will we be able to receive Amazon orders. We will, however, gratefully receive monetary donations through https://tpespta.net/donate-now/. The PTA has been distributing Giant gift card donations on Sundays and will continue weekly so that families can shop safely for themselves.
If you are a family in need of assistance with food, please email
If you are in a position to donate, please do so generously as we work to keep our community safe and keep food in the homes of our families in need. Thank you to all of those who have supported this incredible effort. We are able to sustain families through June but are still in need of donations to keep this effort going.
