Job Description

A Computer Hardware Engineer is someone who researches, designs, develops, and tests computers. You have to have a bachelors degree to become a Computer Hardware Engineer but its recommended to have a masters degree for advancement and a doctoral degree for research positions. Computer Hardware Engineers make around $95,000 to $130,000 yearly. Computer Hardware Engineers are needed in the US and the UK


There are many colleges to go to become a Computer Hardware Engineer, I broke them down to Texas Tech, Washington State, and Texas Christian University. All of those colleges/universities specialize in engineering. Texas Tech is a large college along with the others (WSU and TCU.) The students faculty ratio, Tech = 20:1 TCU= 13:1 WSU= 15:1.
