Dryden Dolphin Splash Newsletter
April 19, 2020
Dear Families,
We hope you were able to enjoy the nice weather this weekend!
Here is the link to the landing page with all of the grade level remote learning plans for this week.
I will still be at Dryden on Wednesdays from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, if you need to stop by and drop anything off or pick anything up, such as paper copies of remote learning activities. Please contact me at asessler@sd25.org or 847-398-4280 ext. 6501 in advance.
Although we were deeply saddened by the reality that our school community will not be able to reconvene in person due to this public health crisis, our entire staff remains committed to learning and engaging with all students through remote learning. We look forward to making the most of the next couple months of this school year for our students!
This is not the school year that any of us imagined, so your continued patience and understanding as we work through this unprecedented situation together is so greatly appreciated. It’s important we continue to work together to support our students. I'm confident that our collective strength and compassion will shine through and we will emerge even stronger. I can't thank you enough for all that you are doing as we all work together through this.
Sincerely,
Akemi Sessler, Principal

Yearbook Signing Update
Since we will not be returning to school this year, we have a new way for kids to sign each other's yearbooks. Your child can send and receive digital signatures to and from friends via the TreeRing website or app. Their friends have the option of adding these signatures to their custom pages. If you do not add the signatures to your child's custom pages they will not print in their yearbook.
To add signatures from friends and fellow students, please see the video below, or -
- Login into the TreeRing Website (Not App)
- Click on yearbook and click edit custom pages
- Add received signatures to that custom page by clicking on the signature button on the right side of the page you are editing.
We have extended the custom page deadline to accommodate this change. Additionally, all yearbooks will be sent directly to your home versus the school. Please complete your custom pages and signatures by April 27, 2020.
5th Grade Lawn Signs, a Gift from PTA
The PTA will be purchasing yard signs to recognize and celebrate our 5th graders. This will be at no cost to you. We will order the signs and there will be a specific date and time for a safe pickup (by car) at Dryden. We will give more details on pickup later, but for now we just need to know if you would like a sign for your child so we can get an accurate count for ordering.
Please fill out this link by April 20th (tomorrow) to let us know if you would like a sign.
