From the Principal...Kristy McKnight

Our lost and found is overflowing! When you are here next week for conferences, please check out the items. Everything will be out on a table in the front foyer.

Conferences are Thursday, October 7th and Friday, October 8th. Conferences will be offered both in-person and virtually so that you can choose the best option for your family. Scheduling is done via Home Access Center and is accessible now. You can find specific directions for reserving a conference time here. The conference scheduler will be open through October 4th. For those selecting in-person conferences, masks need to be worn while in the building.

Enjoy your weekend,

Kristy McKnight

Parent Volunteers

We are excited to welcome volunteers back into Ferson Creek to assist with a variety of classroom and school activities.

As a public school district, we are required to comply with the Governor’s Executive Order relative to COVID-19 mitigation steps in all district buildings. These steps will help to keep our students, staff members, and volunteers safe while they are in our schools. Given that, all volunteers must:

  • Show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test received within 72 hours of arriving to volunteer

  • Bring documentation to the front office upon arrival

  • Wear a properly fitting mask at all times while in the building

  • The Volunteer Information Form will be available for you to complete in the building the first time you volunteer

Volunteer opportunities vary depending on the teacher. We will verify opportunities that will be available here at Ferson Creek and will communicate specifics about signing up next week.

Our students and staff members appreciate your willingness to volunteer your time to assist in your school community.

Ferson Creek will once again be supporting Kick-A-Thon on Friday, October 8th at the North/East Football game. This year, Kick-A-Thon is raising money for both Fox Valley Food for Health and Cal's Angels. Next week, Ferson will be collecting monetary donations for the event. We are asking students to bring in some change that will be donated to the cause. Monday - Wednesday of next week, students can bring their change to Mrs. Naatz's room, #118, before school. All change will be placed in a large water jug. Our goal is to fill at least half the jug with our donations! We welcome coins and cash for this optional collection. Here's a short video explaining our plan. Also, students will all have the opportunity to sign our Kick-A-Thon banner during school next week. The banner is brought to the event and walked around the track prior to the kicking. Everyone is invited to attend the event, which takes place in between the JV an Varsity football games.
