SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER CHOSEN FOR SEMINAR
Recently, 21 teachers from around the country were chosen to attend a weekend seminar on Andrew Jackson and his Presidential Legacy. A CHS teacher just happened to be one of them! Brianna Logan was chosen to take part in the weekend event sponsored by Teaching American History Grant through Ashland University. The group spent November 11-13 in Nashville, Tennessee researching Jackson's life and presidency. Over 300 pages of primary documents were used to analyze and discuss important factors regarding Jackson's life and the early 1800s in American History. Ms. Logan looks forward to bringing her knowledge and experience back to her classroom to further add to her students' academic engagement and use of Primary Texts.
