EUNICE JR HIGH SCHOOL

The Eunice Junior High School football team had a football scrimmage against the Ville Platte Bulldogs on Wednesday, September 4th at Eunice High Bobcat Stadium. Before the game, the players invited one of our 8th-grade students on to the field to be able to be pushed in his wheelchair across the field into the end zone with the football team surrounding him and cheering as Head Coach LaQuintin Lamb assisted him across the field. Riley is unable to play sports but loves the Bobcats and his classmates.
This act of kindness goes to show that at the end of the day it is often so much more than sports, these coaches are teaching life lessons to these young men. Showing compassion, being a good friend are true characteristics that we want these young men to learn- life lessons to take with you the rest of your life.
EJH Football Team

Head Football Coach LaQuintin Lamb greeted all in attendance with a wrap -up of preparations for the coming season and introduced his coaching staff. Gameday speeches were given by Captians- Christian Andrepont, Isaiah Thomas, and Tony Kennedy. Performances were made by the EJHS Cheerleaders and Sparkles Dance team.
A class competition of Musical Chairs was played by 4 7th grade players and 4 8th grade players to see who would win the 1st of 3 competitions. The 7th graders won with Zyon Fontenot outlasting all other players.
