January 11-January 15

Math:


This week we are continuing to work with decimals. We will discuss how to order and compare decimals, how decimals are related to money, and how equivalent fractions can be used to find decimals.


ELA:


This week, we are beginning our unit surrounding the text "The Fisherman and His Wife". Throughout this unit, we will be practicing our close reading strategies. We will discuss character traits, themes, and how characters change throughout stories.


Science:


We are kicking off this quarter with our Force and Motion unit. We will cover the basic concepts and terminology, and then put our knowledge to the test with an awesome hands-on Hot Wheels "Speedometry" unit.
