Dyslexia:
Meeting State Standards on a Limited Budget
SPACE IS LIMITED! Register today for this unique FREE learning opportunity!
Our state legislation calls for dyslexia screening for our students.
- What is dyslexia?
- What are effective research based interventions?
- What does this mean for us as school districts?
To answer these questions, join facilitators:
- Linda Fugate, Reading Recovery Teacher Leader and Dyslexia Specialist Ozark Schools
- Dr. Cindy Owens, Reading Recovery Teacher Leader and Dyslexia Specialist Nixa Schools
- Becky Lea, Literacy Coach and Dyslexia Specialist Logan Rogersville Schools
- Dr. Karen Scott, Director of Elementary Learning and Federal Programs Ozark Schools
Participants will examine the current literacy assessments used in their respective schools and plan for required dyslexia screening for the 2018-2019 school year. Learn how these three districts have identified screening tools and processes that required limited financial funds. Also the participants will also hear how these three districts are responding with interventions.
