Weekly Update
Our students may have had a short week, but they were so focused on their IReady diagnostic tests. It's an opportunity for students to show what they know and how much they have progressed since the fall test! You will receive a family report once the testing window has closed!
It has been a weird winter so far and it's hard to know what children should wear! Please know that playing outside lately has been really messy with the mud. There is mud everywhere. Sometimes it's good for the younger students to have extra clothes/socks in backpacks just in case.
Girls on the Run
Girls on the run is a fun after school program for girls in grades 3-5. It helps girls build their confidence, kindness, and decision-making skills while learning about the connection between physical and emotional health. Practices at Harrison will begin March 7 and will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:00, led my Mrs. Costello and Mrs. Ringa. The season ends with a 5k run/walk on May 21. Online registration for the program begins on January 25, and is limited to 15 girls. More information and links to registration can be found at https://www.gotrnwil.org/

Illness
Throughout the winter months, we see a lot of illness. COVID cases are on the rise in McHenry county as well. It is always recommended to get a COVID test. Free Home Covid tests available through the government, delivered by post office.
If your child has any sort of illness, please keep them home until they are better.
