6. This week we celebrate Linking Lexington 2019. It is a weeklong event that honors loved ones affected by cancer, educates students and staff on prevention of cancer, and raises funds to help support those in our community who are fighting cancer. All proceeds raised go to the Lexington-based charity, Cancer of Many Colors. This year, Lexington High School is partnering with Beechwood Middle School, Pleasant Hill Middle School, and White Knoll High School to show that although we may be rivals on the football field, off the field, we are united in the fight against cancer. Colored links with the name of a loved one who is fighting/has fought cancer will be sold at all lunches for $1.00. Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be sold before school on Friday, Oct. 4. See the attached flyer for details.
7. Friday will be Fun Lunch! PTSA will be recognizing members with birthdays in October and selling Spirit Sticks for $1.00.
Our theme for the school year is LEAD with PRIDE. We hope that this theme will inspire our students to have a feeling of self respect and satisfaction for the things that they will accomplish this year.
