A Little About Lauren Gardner

The Basics!

Hi, my name is Lauren Gardner. I am from Plainfield, Indiana, just 30 minutes west of Indianapolis. I graduated from Plainfield High School in 2013. While attending Plainfield High School, I played varsity soccer all four years. I have enjoyed playing soccer since the age of 4 and still continue to play, just not competitive. In high school soccer, I was the varsity goalkeeper, which taught me to be who I am today, to be a leader and love working together in a group. Apart from soccer, I enjoy spending time with my friends, scrapbooking, cooking and baking and going shopping! . Also, I have a Golden Retriever that is two and he is like my kid. I spoil him! Right now, I work as a Sales Lead Manager at the Loft in Metropolis. Recently, I just leased a 2015 Chevy Cruze, this was the first car I was able to sign and pay for myself. Metropolis is an outdoor mall located in Plainfield, Indiana. The mall is currently under renovation with new owners improving and changing the name to The Shoppes at Perry Crossing. If you haven’t been here yet, wait till the construction is completed and take a visit! An interesting thing about me is that I own my own cupcake business. My business is called Little Miss Cupcake, located in Plainfield. Right now I am running my business out of my home, but eventually after I graduate I plan to open up my own cupcake shop. I have owned and been successful with my Cupcake business for one year. It was a lot of work but in the end I love doing this in my free time. As a freshman I went to Purdue University for Interior Design Technology, but transferred to IUPUI one semester after. Purdue just wasn’t for me. I believe Purdue’s campus was way too big and not for me. Coming to IUPUI was the best decision of my life. I took a total of two years in Interior Design Technology and now I just switched majors to Elementary Education. Switching my majors has been the best thing I have done in my life. I have always wanted to be a teacher and now that’s what I’m going to do with my career and the rest of my life.
