- My favorite place is up north on the Pine River. Spending time as a family, kayaking, and fishing have become a summer tradition!
- Prior to education, I served five years in the Marine Corps, earning the rank of Sergeant. In Iraq, I once parachuted down the flight line on a cart in a sand storm. This also proved that boredom can be cured from a dare.
- My first date with my wife we were walking by Bronson park in Kalamazoo when a car passed by with loud bass. She started dancing to the beat and I knew then that I wanted to spend my life with her. I'll never forget that.
Kelli Pfefferman, Learn 'n Grow Preschool teacher, WSE
- I was born on Christmas Eve in 1982. It was a warm 70 degree day.
- I tried getting in to the Guinness Book of World Records when I was in 4th grade. I started collecting non-sharpened pencils and had the ambition to hold the world record. I gave up after two years and 4,444 pencils later. A nice donation of pencils was made to my local elementary. At least they highlighted me in the local newsletter!
- I plan on visiting all 50 states before I die. So far I have been to 18 so I have quite a few to explore. My favorite place has been New Orleans this past summer.
Darin Price, OMS PE/Computer teacher
My daughter, Kennedy and I, like to visit a new zoo every summer. Our favorite one so far is the Toledo Zoo.
I have a twin sister that lives in Kalamazoo and my niece and my daughter are very close so we get to spend a lot of special time together
Several years ago I got to sit in the personal press box of Charlie Weis (former Notre Dame Head Coach). I also got to take a personal tour of the locker room and be on the field for pre-game warm-ups. Best part was my brother and uncle were at the game and didn't know I had this arrangement so I made sure to walk over by where they were sitting to say hi while I was on the field. They were is disbelief.
Have a story for me?
