Boggess News
Shurandia Holden, Principal
From the Desk of Shurandia Holden
Hello!
It has certainly been an eventful beginning to this year! I want to again thank all of you for your support, patience and understanding as we adjust almost daily to changes. Please know that we are doing all that we can to keep everyone safe and focused on learning. Students began their Beginning of the Year Assessments this week. We will use this data to plan for each student’s individual success.
It has been wonderful visiting classrooms and getting to know our students. It has been amazing watching the growth in our Pre-K students that has occurred in a few days. They are a wonderful addition to Boggess!
I just want to make a few clarifications as to our academic support for students who are not on campus.

Arrival/Attendance
School begins promptly at 7:40. We expect students to be in their chairs ready to learn. The west side door and gym close at 7:35. Students dropped off after 7:35 must enter through the front entrance. In order to make morning drop off go more smoothly, we are asking the following of parents.
- Please stay in your car.
- Please have the student/students exit on the passenger side of the vehicle.
- Please do not use your cellphone in our school zone.
- Thank you so much for your cooperation in helping keep our kids safe.
Touching hearts and minds,

PACE stands for Plano Academic and Creative Education and is the cornerstone of the district's gifted and talented education program serving students in kindergarten through 12th grade. PACE is more than a course; it is a motivating and challenging experience that lasts over multiple years of a student's education. The PACE program provides a learning environment that nurtures the unique academic and social-emotional needs of students requiring gifted and talented services.
