Featured Workshops

The Conference Programme Includes Two Professional Workshops

From Research Paper to Journal Manuscript

Facilitator: Marina M. Ramkissoon, Ph.D.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide guidance to new or potential authors for converting their psychology-related graduate research papers and theses into journal manuscripts for review by academic journals. A major goal is to encourage these authors to publish their work by improving their skills in writing such manuscripts.

Psychohairapy: Integrating Hair, Health, and Heritage for Caribbean Women

Facilitator: Afiya M. Mbilishaka, Ph.D.

This workshop is focused on exploring “PsychoHairapy,” an innovative and culturally relevant approach to providing psychological support and services to Caribbean women through hair care and the hair salon environment.

Free and Open to Registered Attendees

These workshops will be targeting psychology and other social science professionals (researchers and/or practitioners) and graduate students. Participation will be limited to the first 15 persons who sign up for each workshop at the registration table.

Workshop Facilitators

Our conference workshops are educational programs designed to teach or introduce to participants practical skills, techniques, or ideas that they can then use in their professional work.
