Crusader Connection: January 2021

A Recap of 2020 and Looking Toward the Future in 2021

Many people will look back on 2020 as a year they want to forget or have unpleast memories of 2020. I want to take a few minutes to focus on many POSITIVE things that have happened at NHCS in 2020. Here are just a few:

-The NHCS Class of 2020 Graduated twelve 8th Graders in a Socially Distanced Graduation Ceremony followed by a parade where they were celebrated.

-There are currently 137 students attending NHCS.

-We have had four baptisms during chapel along with many other students getting baptized at their home churches this year.

-120 shoe boxes were packed for Operation Christmas Child.

-NHCS students raised funds to purchase 8 water wells with the 8th graders organizing this fundraiser.

-The boys and girls cross country teams brought home regional championship trophies.

-The boys cross country team brought home a 3rd place trophy from the state meet.

-We have been able to stay open for in-person learning the entire 1st semester.

God truly is blessing NHCS, and I am excited to see what he has in store for 2021.

On behalf of all the NHCS teachers and staff, we want to say thank you for all the generous monetary gifts we received this past holiday season. Your generosity and kindness was very much appreciated and will not soon be forgotten.

I will be taking maternity leave once this little guy is born. Mr. Kent Jones will be filling in for me while I am out. He is a seasoned administrator and also filled in at NHCS last year. His email address is He will be handling the day to day affairs. I will still be available but may take longer than normal to respond.

Thank you for entrusting NHCS with your child's education. It is not something we take lightly and strive daily to make NHCS a better place than the day before. We love what we do and pray that God uses our gifts and talents to grow his kingdom.

Praying that your 2021 is BLESSED!!!

Water Bottles from the Office

Starting this semester we will be charging for water bottles from the office. Students will be given two freebies for when water bottles are forgotten. We understand that mornings can be hectic and things can be forgotten. We have just had kids coming in daily for water bottles. The charges will be charged to your incidentals account.

**Remember that we have a water bottle filler that students are allowed to use as needed.
