Construction update

Wold architects and engineers provided an update on the participatory planning and design process that is being used at the high schools. District administration and staff from Wold shared insights about how the process is working and the progress that has been made to date. For details, click here.

Budget assumptions

Carole Nielsen, executive director of administrative services, spoke about 2019-2020 fiscal year budget assumptions which are developed with input from the School Board through work sessions. Budget assumptions will be used in financial projections and in determining the final budget. The final 2019-2020 budget will be adopted in June 2019.

Certify final property tax levy

The Board approved a resolution to certify the 2019 property tax levy. The final certification will be forwarded to Ramsey County for processing of the final property tax statement. The tax statements will be sent out in March 2019. The property tax revenue will be available to the District for the 2019-2020 school year. The total levy amount is $50,387,865 which is 1.16 percent greater than the 2018 tax levy. For more information, please visit the Budgets & Finance page at

Non-resident enrollment

The Board approved a resolution to keep non-resident enrollment options closed for the 2020-2021 school year. There are multiple measures that indicate that the District's resident enrollment will continue to see growth for the next several school years. Based on the current capacities of school buildings and the projected growth in resident enrollments, the District will need to remain closed for non-resident enrollment options.
