Harvard High School
Welcome students to the 2019-2020 school year!
Principal Message
In a few short weeks, our halls at Harvard High School will be filled with the sounds of our students, catching up after a long summer break. We are very excited for the start of a new year and hope to continue to build on our momentum from the previous year. Our students had a productive 2018-2019 school year with the completion of the first business INCubator class and the first annual Career Expo with over 24 local businesses and business leaders in attendance. We saw the highest number of students ever, take Advanced Placement exams with the largest number ever of students achieving a score of 3 or higher on their exams. We began an apprenticeship program with Scot Forge and currently have three students signed up in the program. We had nine students receive the Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy. Our athletic teams had great success as well with both the boy’s and girl’s soccer teams, each winning Regional championships.
Our goal is to create an environment where your student can find success. "Success is not an Accident", is commonly heard throughout our halls at the high school and we remind students every week, "Those that achieve what they dreamed of did the work necessary to get there.”
We are looking forward to continuing our success and creating more opportunities for our students to learn, grow, and thrive. We understand that this is a team effort and that together we can make 2019-2020 a very successful year.
On behalf of our teachers, staff, and administration here at Harvard High School, we thank you for allowing us to serve your children and prepare them for a bright future.
