October Update
Hello families,
Happy Fall! We hope that you and your little ones are settling into the school routine and enjoying the experience. We are looking forward to a lot of fun during October! :) We will have our very own "Pumpkin Patch" for the children to enjoy (thanks to so many of you who have volunteered to help!), complete with a hay maze, pumpkins, and festive games and stories. We end our month with our annual costume parades and parties! :) Thanks to all of you for your time and donations that help make our fall fun successful. Please read on for more October news.
October at a glance
Bible Verse: "I trust in God and am not afraid" (Psalm 56:4)
Our little ones began meeting for Children's Church in the Sanctuary with Pastor Amy in September and really enjoyed it! :) During the month of October, Pastor Amy will review our bible verse, talk about the difference between reality and fantasy, and teach children to trust in God. We will be singing fun songs including "Awesome God" and also collecting our change for our children in Africa.
Fruit of the Spirit: Kindness
Encourage your child and engage yourself in activities that manifest positive energies such as donating to charities, helping your friends and neighbors, keeping in touch with loved ones. When your child sees you helping others and extending kindness, he/she will follow suit.

Halloween parades and parties
We look forward to celebrating Halloween here at Bright Beginnings! :) We utilize this time to teach lessons about fantasy vs. reality and how we trust in God and do not have to be afraid. With that being said, we ask that you stay away from scary costumes for your child. Please, no scary masks and no accessories such as swords, wands, etc. that may become broken, lost or used as weapons.
Our Halloween parades will take place on:
- Tuesday, October 29th for all M/T classes. (AM- 30 students), (PM- 30 students)
- Thursday, October 31st for all W-F, (AM- 80 students), (PM- 95 students)
During the parade, parents may line the main hall to watch and pass out candy. If you choose to bring candy to pass out (not required) you may bring it for just your class or all of the classes coming through. We ask that any treats you bring to pass out be peanut/ nut free due to severe allergies.
Our Kids Morning Out classes do not participate in the parades...it can be over-whelming for some of them, but they do have little celebrations in class. (More details will come home from teachers)
